Customers who are able to log into their website dashboards using WordPress will be experiencing messages asking for additional passwords at present. This is something which is affecting all WordPress users globally and not exclusively our customers. The additional level has been added as a temporary measure after attempts have been made to hack the WordPress framework.

Issues with Sending Emails

Some of our clients are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with sending out emails. This is due to a problem whereby our web hosting servers have been incorrectly listed as “spam” and as a result of this emails are being blocked and not received by the recipient.

We are working closely with our web hosting company to get this removed and will notify all users via the AfanWebs website when this has been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

WordPress 3.5.1 Update

We have completed our internal testing of the latest WordPress update and this is now in the process of being rolled out to our clients. We will notify all users of when this has been completed via the AfanWebs website shortly.

WordPress 3.5.1 Update

A new update for WordPress has been released which addresses some of the previous issues found in version 3.5.

We have just updated the AfanWebs website to this new version of WordPress and will spend the next few weeks testing the update before releasing this to all customers who have their websites built on the platform. Customers with older HTML websites will not be affected.

WordPress 3.5 Update

A new update to our content management system, WordPress, has just been released. The new update brings several enhancements to the dashboard, including a new media manager, a new default theme and more improvements for mobile and handheld devices.

However, on running the update on our test website we have found several bugs with this release that prevents access to some features within the dashboard. With this in mind, we will not be running this update on any live sites until WordPress release version 3.5.1 to fix the bugs.
